Set in Victoria's High Country between the Ovens and King Rivers, the Rural City of Wangaratta encompasses the Milawa Gourmet Region, King Valley, Glenrowan, Eldorado and Wangaratta. Famous for its world class wines, gourmet food, spectacular mountsins, valleys, rivers and streams, historic links to Ned Kelly and Victoria's pioneering gold rush, the region also heralds the beginning of the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail and the Great Alpine Road.

The region boasts a number of renowned festivals including the famous Wangaratta Festival of Jazz and various events based around the abundance of food and wine the area is famous for. In particular, there are around thirty wineries, many offering unique evetns and celebrations throughout the year. They range from the internationally acclaimed Brown Brothers of Milawa to many boutique family run businesses passionate about their wines and delighted to have you visit.
