Eldorado & The Woolshed Valley
A trip to the north-east is simply not complete without a visit to the small township of Eldorado and the nearby Woolshed Valley. Eldorado's rich history, beautiful landscapes, scenic walks, bike riding tracks and welcoming locals make it the perfect place to stop and have look around. Be sure to check out the local pottery, try your hand at gold panning or even take an art class. There is plenty to see and do.
The Woolshed Valley offers a beautiful drive or bike ride with a number of interpretative signs posted along the way to fill you in on the history of this unique pocket of Victoria. During the warmer months you can even stop off for a swim at the spectacular Top Cut lake.
Drop in to the famous McEvoy Tavern for a delicious meal and liquid refreshments. After your meal you can visit Eldorado Museum to get a taste of the town’s colourful history.

The region is well worth a visit and is the perfect place to base yourself when exploring all that north-east Victoria has to offer.
