Wangaratta boasts an extensive shared path network in and around town with sealed and unsealed paths and trails for you to explore.
The Wangaratta Shared Path Network takes you safely through the CBD, in and around main streets and through many of the towns’ beautiful urban park areas such as; Apex Park, King George V Garden, Merriwa/Kaluna Parks and Batchelor’s Green, all include public toilets, parking and amenities.
Heading out of town you can access many natural attractions, rivers and streams and reserve areas abundant with wildlife. The famous Murray to Mountains Rail Trail linking to Beechworth and Bright is easily accessible from Apex Park. Wangaratta is the perfect base for day trips or extended stays with sealed paths through to the gourmet regions of Milawa, Oxley, Whorouly and Everton. Alternatively, discover the many walking paths throughout the Eldorado and Woolshed Valley region or nearby Warby-Ovens National Park.
Wangaratta’s Shared Path Network allows you to do as little or as much as you like! On a bike or on foot - these three main paths will get you in, out and around Wangaratta easily and safely.
