Seasonal Adventures

Regardless of the season, Wangaratta and its surrounds have something for everyone.


Bathe in the natural isolation of our many swimming holes or escape the summer heat to the cooler peaks of our National Parks. Once you’ve seen the sights, you can curl up in front of a fireplace with a local glass of red wine, preparing for another day out in Wangaratta’s wild bushland. 


Pull on your hiking boots in search of waterfalls or a lookout to take in our beautiful wine regions from above.


You’ll spot vineyards bursting with the first buds of the season or horse riders saddled up on a springtime adventure. 


In autumn, jump on your bike and spend the cooler days exploring our many shared paths and rail trails whilst the region bursts into some heart-warming hues.


Wangaratta has a mild climate with rainfall of about 634mm per year and temperatures ranging from 13 to 33°C. There is truly something to savour in all seasons across this unique area.
